Don't hire a nanny until...

Planning on hiring a Nanny?  Want to know the full background of this person before hiring them?

Some tend to think that celebrates have it so easy.  Well, according to an article in KTLA News - Lisa Marie Presley got a big surprise when her nanny sued here  Full story here.

Our children are precious.  You need someone with basic morals.  Someone who can play with, teach and take care of your child.  The nanny must be able to relate back to you her concerns or her insights of the childs progress.


Although logically, the Nanny would be responisable for the childs feedings, cleanings and indoor and outdoor actiivietes. However, having expections of the Nanny to be your housekeeper as well, is too high of an expection.  Most importantly you may be forcing your Nanny to not have quality time with your child.  I highly recommend you make sure the Nanny deals with the care of your child.  It is understandable you would expect the home in the same condition you left it, but not cleaner.  


Do you want a live in Nanny or a part time Nanny?  How can you find out for sure if you can trust a Nanny with your children? 


Well, you are not alone.  Every parent wants to know who to hire.  Of course a recommendation from another friend or family would be ideal.  There are lots of nanny agencies and of course your local employment center.  


My children have all flown out of the nest.  Now that I have a little time on my hands, I thought it would be helpful to share my concerns I had when raising my children.  I didn't end up hiring a Nanny, however I did have sitters.  It was equally as hard because in the small town I lived in, not many people qualified.

Interview who you wish, watch how they act with your child, if you feel deep down that this is the Nanny you want, take one last step and do a background check.
